ocr: a Gliding Quit Gliding Flying squirrels have flaps of skin between their fore and hind legs. By spreading their legs they can stretch this skin, forming a surprisingly effective wing. Flying squirrels sleep by day, usually in al hole in a tree. They emerge at night and travel through the forest by gliding from tree to tree, running up the trunks of the trees to regain height.
